THE GEORGIA REVOLUTION FC 2016 PLAYERS OF THE YEAR
Player of the Year: Scott Redding
Scott returned for his sixth season with the Revs. As the team Captain he played in all 15 games, starting 14 and clocking in an impressive 1305 minutes this season. A fast and skilled right midfielder, who also spent time at right back, Scott scored two goals, three assist, and consistently performed at a very high level.
Offensive Player of the Year: Jarrel Smalls
Jarrel joined us in 2016 after an outstanding career at USC Aiken where he scored five goals his senior season. He had 11 appearances with 8 starts, quickly establishing himself as a dangerous center forward scoring 2 goals and earning man of the match honors against the Carolina RailHawks.
Defensive Player of the Year: Adam McCabe
Adam made an immediate impact in his first season with the Revolution. He comes to us after playing in Slovakia, Thailand, and Bradford City FC of England. He played in 12 games, starting 11. A tenacious center defensive midfielder who also played both left and right back this season, Adam is a strong tackler who continually attacks opposing teams.
Under-20 Player of the Year: Bjorn Kammholz
Bjorn returned for his second season with the team. He played in 9 games, starting 8. An exciting young Goalkeeper who has outstanding technical skills, the aggression to disrupt plays and the ability win one-on-ones. He is entering his junior year at Boston University where he has twice made the Patriot League Academic
