The Southern Crescent Soccer Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)3, uses soccer as a medium for positive change in the lives of youth, operating programs that introduce mentors and provide physical activity along with academic support and hands-on life experience. We do this through recreational soccer, after schools programs, providing referee and coaches training, and community partnerships.
What we do:
After School Program: This is a free service we provide to the community and is funded through donations, fund raisers and fees paid by our Adult 7v7 players.
Recreational Soccer: Players in age groups U6-U14. This is an introduction to organized soccer that is focused on teaching the basics of the game. Open to any player.
Adult 7v7 League: Played at Village Park in Ellenwood, this league gives adult players of all levels the opportunity to play soccer while also contributing the our After School Programs. A percentage of all player fees collected go towards supporting the community.
Academy and Select Program
This program is offered through our affiliation with Nexus FC Professional Soccer Academy and is designed for the Elite player who has the skill and is desire to commit to taking their game to a higher level. Players are selected through tryouts.
Ages: U8 (2011 and 2012), U10 (2009 and 2010), U12 (2007 and 2008), U14 (2005 and 2006), U17 (2002, 2003 and 2004) and U19 (2000 and 2001).
Training: Two-three practices per week trained by professional soccer coaches.
Games: 10-12 per season. Home games at Village Park in Ellenwood and away games in the Atlanta Metro area.
Start Dates: Team Camp is the 1st week of August. Games start on September 8th.
Annual Registration Fee: $450 due at registration
Coaches Fee: $65 per month during the season
Uniforms: $150. Includes home and away jerseys, shorts, socks, backpack and warmups.
